the World Gold Council is committed to upholding the tradition of goldsmithing. Guided by David Lamb, Managing Director, Jewellery and Marketing, the World Council is uniquely placed to act as patron, champion and curator of this artisan skill.

Reflecting gold’s powerfully alluring qualities, leading British artist-goldsmiths Wright & Teague and Polly Gasston were invited by the World Gold Council to capture these potent themes and express them in two new visually arresting works of gold couture.

“Gold is an indestructible material that can sit underground undiscovered for centuries. True alchemy happens when this extraordinary precious metal comes together with the passion and creative vision of a skilled goldsmith. These two pieces are distinctly different in approach and form, but both are the embodiment of gold couture.
